Multi-talented actress, producer and chef, Hilda Baci, has begun the much-anticipated cook-a-thon attempt for the Guinness World Record.
Baci is a 27-year-old graduate of Sociology from Madonna University, Okija, who hails from Akwa Ibom state.
The Nigerian chef has for over 70 hours and counting, been cooking non-stop, following her dreams to break the Guinness World Record of the longest cooking marathon by an individual with a four-day Cook-a-thon.
The cook-a-thon is part of efforts to showcase her culinary skills to the world putting the country on the global map.
Meanwhile, the current world record holder, is an Indian chef from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, who cooked non-stop for 87 hours 45 minutes in 2019, breaking the previous record by 20 hours.
However, Hilda sets to break the current record by 10 hours, as she attempts cooking non-stop for 97 hours staright.
The event officially kicked off at exactly 4 pm on the 11th May, 2023, at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos on with cheers from fans spearheaded by popular on-air personalities, Ilooise and Lohra.
So far, Baci has cooked over 120 meals and served over 2,800 people in attendance.
Despite her obvious exhaustion from being on her feet for three days and counting, Hilda Baci’s commitment to excellence is evident as she has maintained excellence which her brand is synonymous with.
