Nigerian promising singer FOLA has released his highly anticipated debut album, “catharsis.”
The project “catharsis” is a profound journey through the landscapes of emotion, identity, and healing, delivered with a sonic elegance.
The term “catharsis” literally means “the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions.”
FOLA’s album unfolds like a carefully penned diary, with each song a chapter of vulnerability, strength, and artistic evolution.
The 11-track project “catharsis” features guest appearances from Kizz Daniel, Young Jonn, Victony, and Gabzy.
In a recent interview discussing the album, FOLA shared:
“This album is like building a soul hospital, looking for something to cleanse and repair your soul. I want people to listen to these songs and let go of their worries. I want people to do more after listening to these songs.“
Leading up to the album “catharsis,” FOLA released the singles “eko,” “you,” and “lost,” which features Kizz Daniel.
