Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade has released her new single, “Iyanu,” a special birthday gift to herself.
“Iyanu” is a mid-tempo record which captures Yemi Alade’s vocals and blends vibrant melodies with soul-stirring lyrics.
Known as “Mama Africa,” Yemi Alade infuses this track with her signature vibrant vocals and deep cultural roots, celebrating the strength, resilience, and magic of Yoruba heritage.
Inspired by the superhero tale Iyanu, the song captures the essence of a young girl’s journey of self-discovery, courage, and destiny in a world rich with mythology and history.

Iyanu is an animated series created by Lion Forge Entertainment, coming to Cartoon Network and Max. The series is based on the graphic novel series from Dark Horse Comics and YouNeek Studios.
The Iyanu theme song is a collaboration between Yemi Alade, the creative teams at Lion Forge Entertainment and Alcon Sleeping Giant, and Femi Agunbiade, the lead composer on the Iyanu series.
The collaboration between Yemi Alade and Effyzzie Music Group on the production of “Iyanu” elevates the track to another level.
Yemi Alade’s latest record, “Iyanu,” serves as a quick follow-up to her recent song “Keys to Your Heart.”
