Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has become the first artist to amass one billion streams on the digital music streaming platform, Boomplay.
The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ achieved this feat following the release of his seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them…’
A check on his Boomplay account by Afribeats shows that the singer has amassed over a billion streams on the platform.
Burna Boy is also the most followed artist on the platform with over 600,000 followers.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner is also the first Nigerian artist to surpass the 1 billion career stream mark on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack and Boomplay.
