American actor and singer, Jussie Smollett has been charged for staging an attack on himself by a Cook County judge in Chicago.
In 2015, Smollett attracted attention and received a highly positive critical reception for his portrayal of musician Jamal Lyon in the fox drama series “Empire”.
Smollett faces one felony count of filing a false police report, it came to the understanding that the attack on him was planned out by the “Empire” superstar, on the 29th of January.

The superstar claimed he was attacked by two men shouting racial and homophobic slurs, which happens to be brothers from Nigeria and are close friends with the actor.
His act caused a lot of division to his fan base, some of his fans were in support of his act and some others were not.
A Chicago judge set a $100,000 bond for the actor and ordered him to surrender his passport on Thursday as he made his first appearance in court.
Smollett posted the bond and walked out of the Cook county Jail without talking to the press.
