The organisers of the 17th edition of the esteemed Headies Awards have announced this year’s ceremony winners.

The 17th Headies Awards took place last night at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, honouring the achievements of Nigerian artists both at home and abroad.

Davido secured the Digital Artiste of the Year award at the ceremony, recognising his dominant online presence and impact.

Rema’s album “HEIS” clinched the Afrobeats Album of the Year award, celebrated for its innovative sound and global reach. Asake’s hit track earned him the Song of the Year award, cementing his status as a leading voice in Afrobeats.

ODUMODUBLVCK was named the Next Rated artist, a nod to his rising star power and promising future in the industry, while Zerry DL was crowned as the Rookie of the Year.

Tems shone brightly, winning Best Vocal Performance (Female) for her soulful delivery and emotional depth on her latest singles.

The late MohBad was posthumously honoured with the Best Street-Hop Artiste award, among others, in tribute to his enduring legacy.

“Only music materials — including singles, videos, live recordings, EPs, and albums — released and distributed on digital streaming platforms or physical media (cassettes, CDs, and vinyl) between April 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024, were eligible for nomination and selection.”

The Headies 2025, themed “Back 2 Base,” marked a triumphant return to Nigeria after two years in Atlanta, celebrating Afrobeats’ global influence.
