Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simi has disclosed that she met her musician husband, Adekunle Gold on Facebook.
The singer revealed this during an interview on Ndani TV’s The Juice, on July 16, 2019.

According to her, Adekunle Gold first texted her on Facebook. However, she stated that she did not know him at the time.
She stated: “I mean he was chasing me up on Facebook and everything.
“When I was into gospel music, he used to listen to my songs.
“That is how he reached out to me, I didn’t know him at the time and I didn’t respond either.”
She stated that they eventually met at a show she was performing at and from there became friends.
“The first time I ever saw him, I was supposed to do a show at Bugubiri and we became friends over the years,” she said.
