Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, who is known professionally as Burna Boy, pushes forward into the sphere of filmmaking as an executive producer for the upcoming thriller โ3 Cold Dishes.โ
This was revealed by Black Mic Macโa content company focusing on film and TV by African and Middle Eastern talent. The project โ3 Cold Dishesโ will be directed by Asurf Oluseyi and penned by Tomi Adesina.
3 Cold Dishes tells the gripping story of three teenagers, victims of sex trafficking, who reunite thirteen years later to seek vengeance. Set across Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, and Cรดte dโIvoire, the film will feature dialogue in French, Yoruba, and English.
The movie production partnership with Black Mic Mac, Ifind, Alma Prods., Asurf Films, and Martian Network, with Burna Boyโs Spaceship Films playing a key role.
Spotlighting the extensive efforts put in place to deliver this project, the director, Asurf Oluseyi gave a description of this movie as a โgroundbreaking pan-Africanโ venture.
The movie casts Nollywood actors such as Osas Ighodaroโwho is also a co-executive producerโWale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua, alongside talent from Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Also, the soundtrack promises contributions from celebrated artists like Angelique Kidjo, Asa, Tems, Brymo, Johnny Drille, and Ayra Starr, with potential tracks from Burna Boy himself.
