Nigerian promising singer Fido has his highly anticipated debut extended play project, “Olayemi.”
“Olayemi” is more than my name; it is my truth, and my offering to the world. This EP is deeply rooted in my story, my spirit, and the sounds of matogun.
It is a reminder that African music still has many layers to uncover and that music, at its core, is transformative.
“Olayemi,” an eight-track EP, weaves Fido’s storytelling prowess and raw emotion into a cohesive body of work.
Fido’s debut EP, “Olayemi,” includes a standout guest feature from Kizz Daniel on the remix of his track “Joy is Coming.”
Throughout the EP’s tracks, Fido explores themes of love, ambition, and self-discovery, his smooth vocals gliding effortlessly over each beat.
In a recent interview, Fido shared that all songs on “Olayemi” reflect his journey from his neighbourhood roots to becoming a globally recognised artist.
The extended play project “Olayemi” was preceded by two of Fido’s earlier singles, “Joy is Coming” and “Money Moves.”
