Ghanaian rapper,Β Sarkodie, finally dropped his fourth studio album,Β βMaryβ over the weekend on Saturday, September 12 at the West Hills Mall in Ghana.
The album is named after his late grandmother.
Sarkodie disclosed that his grandmother had always wanted him to perform live which has however been the inspiration behind the content on the βMaryβ album.
βShe always wanted me to do live music. She liked hip-hop, but she was more into live music, the live drums, live guitars, not too much thatβs computerized. I should have done it for her and now sheβs gone.β.
The album was produced by songwriter/musician,Β Akwaboah, who is the first artiste to be signed to Sarkodieβs Sarkcess Music label.
He was supported by industry friends includingΒ Samini,Β Joey BΒ andΒ Pappy Kojo.
