Nigerian artist, Tiwa Savage has withdrawn from an upcoming event in South Africa over xenophobic attacks on Nigerians.
The singer who was set to perform on the 21st of September at DSTV’s Delicious Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa opted out due to the killings of Nigerians and other foreigners by South African nationals.

She made this known via post on her Twitter handle: @tiwasavage about 5 hours ago.
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK.
For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September.
My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this,” she tweeted.
Nevertheless, her forthcoming single titled ‘49-99‘ is set to drop on the 5th of September.
