Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr has released her third studio album, “Starrgirl,” through Mavin and Republic Records.
“Starrgirl” album marks a bold step forward in her artistic journey and solidifies her place as one of Afrobeats’ most compelling voices.
Musically, “Starrgirl” is an ambitious 16-track compilation that confidently stretches the traditional boundaries of modern Afrobeats.
The sixteen-track album features guest appearances from Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, Leon Thomas, Danny Ocean, Theodora, and kwn.
The album’s production is a testament to the synergy between Ayra and her collaborators. Each beat is meticulously crafted, with infectious rhythms that invite movement.
Ayra herself described the project as her “truest and rawest version,” an uncompromised look into her growth as a woman navigating global fame, relationship fractures, and total creative autonomy.
The album was preceded by Ayra’s previous singles, including “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, “Hot Body“, and “Who’s Dat Girl” featuring Rema, “Where Do We Go,” and “Tornado.”
