Global African icons King Promise and Mr Eazi have officially released their collaborative project “See What We’ve Done” via emPawa Africa.
The nine-track body of work follows the strong momentum generated by its three pre-release singles — “See What We’ve Done,” “Mariana,” and “That Way,” which have collectively surpassed 26 Million Streams across DSPs.
The tracks are currently charting in more than 10 territories, including Europe and the Middle East, supported by tastemakers at BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, and KISS Xtra.
With sleek, intentional production from an elite roster including GuiltyBeatz, Killbeatz, JAE5, Gideonite, AOD, and Tudor Monroë, the project blends Afrobeats, pop, and melodic influences into a sound that is both rooted and globally resonant.
Mr Eazi reflected on the project:
“See What We’ve Done” is a celebration of friendship, growth, and gratitude. Having built distinct and successful careers, we came together from a genuine appreciation for each other’s craft. The result is a record that feels organic and unforced, shaped by honesty and mutual admiration.”
The release underscores the creative alignment between two artists who have each helped shape the sound of modern African music while continuing to expand its global reach.
“See What We’ve Done” offers a cohesive listening experience that explores themes of friendship, growth, love, and reflection. It opens with the introspective “Where Have You Been?,” moves into the standout “That Way”, a creative reimagining of the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” through a contemporary African lens and delivers warmth on “Mariana.”
The journey continues with the atmospheric “Taste,” the bold magnetism of “Criminal,” the playful “Baby I’m Still Jealous” (echoing their earlier collaboration), the emotionally resonant focus track “No. 1 Fan,” the confident Afrobeats-dancehall fusion of “Mad Ting,” and closes powerfully with the title track, a celebratory statement on legacy and evolution.
