Afrobeats maestro, Bella Shmurda has premiered the official music video of his single “1999.”
On the impressive record, Shmurda collaborated with the Nigerian vibrant songstress, Blood Civilian, who assisted his piece perfectly well.
“1999” off the R2 Sept 12 EP carries and speaks the spirit of perseverance. Bella Shmurda and Bloody Civilian trade verses detailing their past struggles, from financial limitations to their daily grind of navigating public transportation.
Bella Shmurda speaking on why he featured Bloody Civilian in 1999, said “he believes Bloody Civilian has the perfect song to perfect the song”.
Finally, the video was shot in Lagos, Nigeria, directed by Big Josh.
