NaijaVibes Top 30 Naija Songs of 2018

To wrap up our editorial year, we are proud to announce the NaijaVibes Top 30 Naija Songs of 2018.

For this year’s Top 30 Naija Songs, we assembled a voting panel of 7 judges drawn from different areas of the entertainment industry. The team of judges was made-up of 2 music bloggers, 1 entertainment reporter, 1 social media influencer, 1 disk jockey and 1 show promoter.

Our judges were sent a long list of more than 150 carefully selected songs released between January, 2018 and December, 2018 and asked a simple question: which song was the best Naija song of 2018?

Our judges were asked to select 30 songs each, and rank their selections from 1-30, with No1 being their choice of the best song in 2018.

The No1 choice of each judge was awarded 30pts, No2 29pts down to No30 which got 1pt respectively.

The total number of points for each song was calculated and then divided by 7. The song with the highest number of points after the additions and divisions got the top spot.

We would like to thank our judges who all pleaded anonymity, for participating in this process, and none was paid to participate in the project.
