Nigerian multi-talented sensation, Tekno has officially penned an imprint deal with emPawa Africa headed by Mr Eazi as Founder/CEO, and houses a publishing, and licensing division, with a streaming service, emPawa Music.

emPawa Africa is an African talent incubation enterprise, known for nurturing and supporting up-and-coming artists. It offers mentorship to 100 African artists yearly, with a $3,000 (dollars) grant.

This groundbreaking alliance will see Tekno’s Cartel Music releasing some new music via emPawa Africa.

In joining Michaël Brun among those who have invested in the innovative, African-owned label services company founded by Mr Eazi in 2018, Tekno plans to invest as a shareholder in emPawa Africa during the company’s next capital call round.

According to Mr Eazi on his X (Twitter) handle he said;

This deal ushers a new phase of @emPawaAfrica and will see us working with African Artists at different stages of their careers who want to maintain financial & creative freedom but even more importantly who wanna own part of the company their IP is building!

emPawa Africa has been doing great in discovering and working with artists such as Joeboy, Major League DJz, Fave, King Promise, Minz and DJ Neptune, among others.

In 2020, Billboard Magazine named emPawa as one of The Gatekeepers of the Nigerian music industry.
