Nigerian singer Wizkid and his collaborator Tems have won the American Music Awards (AMA) 2022 for Favorite R&B Song with the global hit ‘Essence’.
Congratulations are in order as starboy Wizkid picks up yet another international award for his global hit song ‘Essence’. The Starboy honcho wins yet another award two years after he released the ‘Made In Lagos’ album.

Wizkid andΒ Tems were earlier nominated for the Favorite R&B Song award at the AMA 2022 and went on to win the category. In deed, ‘Essence’ has been huge in America after becoming a multi-platinum single selling millions of units in America.

Meanwhile, the music starboy also won the Favorite Afrobeats Artiste award at the AMAs, which held on Monday, November 21 2022 at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles.
Furthermore, Wizkid was congratulated in a post on the official Twitter page of the AMAs, writing;
