Nigerian superstar Davido has released his highly anticipated sixth studio album titled “Oriadé.”
Marking his 15th anniversary, Davido’s sixth album is a concise, 13-track project that serves as a triumphant return to his roots.
“Oriadé” album features guest appearances from Mayorkun, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, FOLA, Llona, Leon Thomas, JAZZWRLD, and GL_Ceejay.
The album combines high-energy Afrobeats with Amapiano influences, featuring collaborations with global and African artists.
The album features a blend of intimate, home-studio recordings and high-octane rhythms, prioritising authenticity over commercial pressure.
“For Oriadé, I wanted to get back to my roots. It’s a title that refers to your destiny, and so I wanted to pay tribute to my journey so far on the album, as well as take it into the future.”
The collection of songs on the album feels both rooted in Nigerian culture and open to global influences.
The production credits read like a who’s who of African and international music, with contributions from top-tier producers and guest artists, each bringing their unique flavour to the project.
