Ghanaian-British singer, Amaarae has released her new single titled “Leave Me Alone”.
Leave Me Alone‘s dancehall-inflected riddim is pure West African vibes, replete with lush and overarching guitar licks that draw abundantly from the highlife and Afrobeat tradition.

Lyrically, “Leave Me Alone” is about learning how to protect one’s peace irrespective of underlying circumstances. “Talking, Talking, Talk, but talk is cheap– me nuh need favor from no one but God, plus I’ve got me.”
Amaarae sings, her voice a re-assuring fix that sashays gently atop the Stalag riddim-sounding drum bop.
