Nigerian singer BNXN has released his new extended play project, “Still In Charge.”
The 6-track “Still In Charge” project serves as a bold musical statement, reinforcing his status as one of the genre’s premier hook masters and songwriters.
The project sets an immediate high bar with its opening track, “Eja Meja,” which features the explosive star power of Asake.
The track is a masterclass in modern Afrobeats, blending BNXN’s signature smooth vocals with Asake’s signature energetic flow.
It effortlessly paves the way for the second track, “Online,” a Telz-produced single that served as a compelling teaser just before the full project surfaced.
On “16” and “Deliberate Work,” he strips away the star-studded features to give listeners an unfiltered look into his distinctive sound, utilising smooth melodies and reflective lyricism.
The collaborative synergy returns on the fifth track, “Shamaya,” where BNXN joins forces with fast-rising Nigerian artist and songwriter FOLA.
Finally, the EP wraps up with “If You Like,” a track that smoothly anchors the body of work, leaving fans with a lasting impression of an artist who is, without a doubt, still very much in charge.
The production is upbeat, featuring catchy melodies and dynamic instrumentation that round out the project on a high note.
